Greetings fellow West Michigan Consultants Network and/or West MI Section IEEE members!

I hope that you have been finding your way though this pandemic safely, and that you have found ways to be productive this year despite this year's challenges.  In person events like our annual 5th/3rd Ballpark Social obviously couldn't be held this year, but now it looks like we have an opportunity for a ZOOM meeting that may have value for some of you considering Engineering Consulting as a career change.  On November 3rd, IEEE held a ZOOM presentation called "So You Want to be a Consultant?".   It included a Power Point Presentation developed and presented by Larry Nelson, past chair of the ACIN (Alliance of IEEE Consultants Networks) and a long time member of Boston area Consultant's Networks who has been consulting since at least 1980. 

The West Michigan Consultants Network in partnership with our West MI IEEE Section is going to hold it's own ZOOM version of "So You Want to be a Consultant?" on Wednesday December 16^th.  We will include a version of Larry's power point presentation as part of our event.  If you have been thinking about exploring the world of consulting, or if you currently consult and would like to join our discussion, please join us on the 16th at 7:30pm for what we hope will be an interesting evening of discussion on the topic.  We will say a few introductory words, have a presentation, and then open up the floor for a Q&A session and a discussion of any consulting topics of interest to the attendees.
