CEI day volunteering

IEEE Richmond Section is a part of RJEC, the Richmond Joint Engineering Council, comprised of all of the different engineering professional organizations in the Richmond area.  RJEC hosts CEI day (Celebrate Engineering Ingenuity) which is all about outreach to students K-12 and others in the community about the challenges and opportunities in engineering while also introducing them to particular types of engineering concepts from each discipline.

Sign up to come out and volunteer with the IEEE table.  We will be soldering LED light up boards (CatBoards) and talking about electrical and computer engineering opportunities and careers.  If you don't know how to solder or don't want to solder that day, that's ok.  We also need volunteers to help with talking about IEEE and what it means to you as well as introducing the public to the different events and activities we do throughout the year.

Location: Dewey Gottwald Center of the Science Museum.

Parking: Park in the Redskins Training Area parking lot and enter into the center through the door in that lot.  When you enter, our table is the 6th and 7th table on the right.

Agenda:

   10am-11am   Setup and preparation

11am-3pm     Event takes place - soldering at our table, and various competitions around the Gottwald Center.
