Richmond Section Meeting - STEM Activities
The IEEE Richmond Section has been heavily involved with STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) projects since 1981 when they organized the Electricity and Electronics Merit Badge Booths at the National Scout Jamboree.
Ralph Russell will provide a short presentation on the IEEE emeritbadges Project’s STEM activities, www.emeritbadges.org, at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree this past summer.
Mic Mullins, Program Director at the Boy Scouts of America Heart of Virginia Council, will tell us about the construction of the new Myron H. “Bud” Reinhart STEM Center at Camp Brady Saunders where we will be meeting. The Reinhart STEM Center will be completed in May of 2018 in time for summer camp. Camp Director Mic Mullins is excited to expand the list of science and technology related merit badges.
