The organization of Globecom 2021 is looking for location, and they have found that Spain could be a good candidate:

The committee is looking for a good location for IEEE GLOBECOM 2021 conference, and as I’m from our EMEA region, I’d like to spread the possibility among our ComSoc chapters. The winter season is not the best for every country, but there are quite many which has a reasonable weather.

The committee implemented a geographical rotation around the world and the Flagship Conference of IEEE ComSoc, IEEE Globecom returns to our region in December 2021.

Would you think on whether you and your scientific/industrial community would host this conference in 2021? There are quite many documents, guidelines, requirements.

Usually the biggest challenge is the size of the event, ca 2000 participants, 22 parallel sessions, exhibition plus ComSoc committees.

Last time in our region it was organized in London (2015), Budapest (2013), Cape Town (2010), Dresden (2009) and the next one will be in Paris in May. http://ieee-icc.org

I think is a good opportunity for spain to organize such a nice event.
