Dear Qld SPS/ComSoc members

We have one last activity planned for 2016, a Xmas edition of our regular 1st Tuesday Journal-Paper Club meetings.  This month, it will be held on the 2nd Tuesday, 13th December, at the Saccharomyces Beer Café, Fish Lane, West End.  Marcus Gallagher has kindly agreed to be our reader leader and he will lead us in a discussion of a paper entitled "The Google similarity distance" by Cilibrasi & Vitányi.  I'm pleased to report that this month's meeting will be modestly subsidised by the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
