IEEE ACT Section Annual General Meeting 24 November 2016

The IEEE ACT Section is delighted to invite you to its Annual General Meeting, to be held on Thursday 24 November 2016, at the Australian National University, Research School of Physics and Engineering (RSPE), Link Room, Mills Road, ACTON, Canberra.

This event is open for all IEEE members and their partners/families including children.

Agenda

6:00 pm: Drinks, Link Room, Building #58, RSPE

6:15 pm: Dinner, Link Room. The dinner will be catered by the Yarralumla Turkish Halal Pide House (Yarralumla) and will serve various dips, Turkish pides and other Middle Eastern specialities with exclusively Halal meat.

7:30 pm: Children Activity (tbc)

7:30 pm: Annual General Meeting and board election (Seminar room, RSPE, 1^st floor).

AGM and board election

Although nominations are now closed (by 31 October 2016 through e-notice) nominations for open positions are solicited.
At AGM we shall confirm received nominations (see below) and will strive to fill the vacant positions.

Each term is for one year from 1 January 2017.
Under IEEE rules, no position may be held for more than two consecutive years and not more than six years in total (with interruptions). New nominations will close by COB November 12, 2016.

If there is more than one nominee for a position, then election will take place during the AGM. Also a candidacy statement will be requested and made available to members attending the AGM and those members providing an apology for the AGM.
