Abstract:
Energy storage will play a critical role in the expansion of renewable energy for electricity production, whether at the individual home level or at the larger grid scale. The industry is continuing to evolve and adapt to changing requirements and advances in technology. This presentation will provide an overview and comparison of different battery technologies available today for energy storage and help us understand the diverse approaches currently being deployed around the world to bring cost savings to utilities and consumers.
Speaker bio:
Stephanie has focused her career on developing and commercialising clean energy technologies. Following her studies in Engineering Physics, she worked on hydrogen fuel cells in Canada and Germany, automotive engine systems to reduce pollution and fuel consumption in France, and solid state hydrogen storage in Australia. She is now CEO of Nano-Nouvelle, developing innovative nanomaterials for applications including high performance lithium ion batteries aiming to be used in equipment such as electronic devices, electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
