IEEE Australia Council Outstanding Student Branch Competition 2015

IEEE Australia Council acknowledges the contributions of all involved in organising the highly successful student activities and student events that had been held throughout 2015 across Australia. The Student Branch Awards from the IEEE Australia Council (AC) recognise outstanding Student Branch achievements by student members engaged in achieving IEEE objectives and purposes. These activities have been the tireless efforts of volunteers, student committees and their student leaders. Participation allows development of excellent leadership and organisations skills and gives opportunities to connect with other professionals and people with similar interests.

For 2015, we have the following Universities for Best Student Branch Award -

Melbourne University ($700 + certificates)

Macquarie University ($300 + certificates)

There are also certificates of participation for all participating student branches.

We thank all participants of the 2015 Outstanding Student Branch Competition for their submissions and efforts in making 2015 a wonderfully interesting year.

All branches are encouraged to apply for the yearly award. A special commendation goes out to some of the newer and still developing, yet dynamic student branches in rural and regional Australia. Amongst these student branches, there are two universities worthy of mention. They are the University of Wollongong and the Curtin University for having encouraged the growth of their student branches in recent years. We hope that the student branches in these universities and indeed across Australia will continue to grow in the near future.
