Lake Monona Pontoon Tour with grill

IEEE Pontoon Tour and Food

Fellow Student IEEE Members,

You are invited to a Lake Monona boat tour through Pontoon Porch on Sunday September 25^th from 2:30 to 5 pm! We will provide some food. There is a 24 person limit so sign up soon. Use the IEEE Event registration for this 2 hour tour. The departure point is located just south of the Monona Terrace at Law Park.

Thank you for joining the IEEE and welcome to the world’s largest technical professional organization. We hope that you will find the IEEE a place to find fellow professionals interested in advancing technology for the good of the world, and in the process, helping you to advance your career. The IEEE can help you to supplement your collegiate career with connections to local and international professionals over the life of your career. Our over 39 technical societies offer a wide variety of technical groups to learn from and contribute to. As an IEEE student member, you can apply to the technical societies for student scholarships.

Here at the Madison IEEE Section, we have many volunteer positions that you can step into to help develop your all-important leadership skills. You can be an officer in the local Student Branch, organize local teams for IEEE international student competitions, or help plan social events. We are exploring a variety of invigorating social meetings that may include axe throwing and rock climbing. We will probably leave the butter sculpting and cheese carving to the professionals.

Now is the best time to become involved in the following immediate opportunities:

Join the Student IEEE Branch as a volunteer or elected Officer.
Plan student projects and get funding grants
Plan social events
Plan technical event talks with invited speakers
Apply for a grant to attend the IEEE Student Leadership Conference in Chicago -October
