The Shannon Centenary, 2016, marks the life and influence of Claude Elwood Shannon on the hundredth anniversary of his birth on 30 April 1916. To remember his contributions to Information theory and also to share thoughts on recent developments in the area, a National Seminar on Information Theory and Communication is evolved.
