AP-S/URSI 2022 Denver Conference Virtual Options and Plenary Talks

Dear AP-S Member:

We wish to share with you some recent developments and suggestions regarding virtual options and Plenary talks, respectively, at the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting – AP-S/URSI 2022, from July 10–15, 2022, in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Virtual Registration – “Virtual Only” Option

We are pleased to announce that a virtual registration option has now been added to the Registration Page on the conference website, please select “Virtual Only” option. This option is available to anyone who wishes to attend the conference virtually and has not registered fully to cover papers. The fee for virtual attendance is only $300, and this option will allow virtual attendees to see all of the video recordings for the presentations that have one. (Video recordings are mandatory for all virtual presentations, and are optional for in-person presentations.) Roughly 30% of the presentations will be virtual (presented as a video recording). Virtual registration also allows virtual attendees to interact with the authors of all papers by using the online discussion feature that is available in the online program.

Online Discussion for All Papers

All conference registrants are invited to participate in the online discussion available for all papers (in-person and virtual): click on the paper in the Online Program (you must be logged in, using the password from your registration confirmation) and write and post your question or comment in the Discussion section below the Presentation section on the page. The paper authors will be notified and requested to respond online.

Virtual Attendance of Some Short Courses

Virtual registrations allow virtual attendees (both those registered for “Virtual Only” option and those registered fully to cover their papers) to enroll (by paying the usual short-course fee) in any short course that has elected to have a remote option (this includes SC1, SC2, SC4, SC5, SC7, SC8, SC10).

Virtual Presentations for All Authors

The uploading of video presentations (and also the presentation slides if desired) is optional for in-person attendees. But all in-person attendees are encouraged to do this, to allow virtual attendees to see your presentation, and also to allow in-person attendees to see your presentation if they happen to miss it due to a conflict. We are keeping the Video Upload Site open until the start of the conference, so please feel free to take advantage of this unique opportunity by uploading a video!
